Q1: Some people claim drinking alkaline water can help balance the pH of our body, is it true?
Human stomach is filled with high concentration of gastric acid used for food digestion. Alkaline water, after entering human stomach, will soon become acidic. In fact, every healthy human body has the natural ability to balance pH. Drinking alkaline water does not help balance body pH.
Q2: How often does the pre-filter need to be changed?
Like all water filter in the market, for smooth operation of your Biolux water generator, the pre-filter is recommended to change every year or before its capacity (usually 100,000 Liter) reached.

Q4: Can I buy Biolux water generator locally and bring it abroad?
Although Biolux water generator is designed for global market, it can apply to any global voltage. However, the distributors in different districts are different. Cross-border maintenance may cost you extra spending on part or equipment transportation. Therefore we recommend you buy and use it locally.
Q5: What is "automatic CIP"? Why do we need it？
Clean-In-Place System is a cleaning system without having to dissemble pipelines, containers, pumps....etc. This term is often seen in food processing industry. It is especially important for dairy, juice, drinks to avoid any possibility of bacterial growth induced contamination and help prolong shelf life.

Therefore, the ozone generated by iEOG is used for the cleaning of pipelines of water generator. Biolux water generator is by far the world only self-sanitizing water generator.
Q6: Why water and electricity need always be connected to Biolux water generator?
The core of Biolux water generator is intricate device dismantling water into hydrogen and ozone. This is a reverse reaction of fuel cell. Like fuel cell, water and electricity need always be connected to maintain iEOG's life.
Q7: Many water ionizer has the risk of plate peeling off. Is Biolux the same?
Biolux does not use ordinary electrolyzer. It uses a material called PEM (Proton exchange membrane), usually seen on fuel cell. The hydrogen and ozone generated are collected in different tanks then dissolved in water. The water generated do not have direct contact with iEOG.
Q8: How long is the product warranty？
Product warranty is one year. Please note that power and water need to be always connected. Frequent disconnection of power and water (more than 2.5 times per month) is not within the scope of warranty. The filter of this product needs to be replaced every year. Internal parts need to be replaced at the 3rd year to ensure a total 6 years of proper function.
Biolux Ozonated Water
Q1: What is ozone？
Ozone is a special constitution of oxygen. It comes in 3 oxygen atoms. it is non-toxic, colorless gas with slight smell of grass. It is also the second strong oxidant and sanitizer next to fluorin. Its bactericidal power is 600 to 3000 times that of the chlorine solution. Ozonated water's half life is 20 minutes. It turns into oxygen, leaving no harmful resudues like other chemical sanitizers.
Q2: Is ozone harmful to human health?
Ozone is environmental friendly sanitizer. Because it leaves no residule after reaction, it is widely used on direct food contact or the santation of food containers. The form of ozone that affect human health is when ozone is dispersed in air, it irritates human eyes, nosal and lung mucosa. Therefore the US OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration) has set ozone exposure standard. Biolux's technology is to dissolve ozone in water, the excess ozone is used for internal sanitation and then discharged before eission. Therefore, it is absolutly safe to use.
Q3: How to choose ozonated water machine?
When selecting an ozonated water generator, we need to know:
1. Is the ozone concentration high enough:
Only when ozone oever 2ppm can it perform good sanitation effect. Ordinary ozone generator passivelly dissolce ozone in water, the concentration can only reach 0.2ppm. Biolux water generator used patented vortex nebulizing technology to dissolve ozone in water, the concentration can easily over 2ppm and even reach 4 ppm. Therefore Biolux's ozonated water can effectively do sanitation and chemical degradation.
2. Is there any harmful byproduct be generated:
Conventional ozone machine used Corona Discharge to generate ozone from air. Therefore, it easily turns nitrogen into harmful nitrogen oxide(NOx).
3. Does the concentration of ozone emmision meet the standard:
Over dose of ozone in air can cause damage to eye or lung and nasal mucosa. Therefore the emission of ozone need to meet the standard set by OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Accumulated years of experience in ozone industry, Biolux understand the importance of regulation ozone emission. Every Biolux water generator is equipped with off-gas system to ensure the emission at the lowest level and meet the regulation set by OSHA.
Q4: I used ozone generator before. How different is Biolux's ozonated water?
Biolux used patented Proton Enchange Membrain for electolysis, totally different from conventional Corona Discharge of UV. This is the only techonolgy to generate ozone from water. Because the whole process does not have direct contact with the nitrogen in air, no worries of harmful byproduct, NOx be generated.
Also, Biolux directly mix ozone into water, this form of ozone is not only easier to use, but also reduce irritation to human eyes or nasal mucosa. Also, without the competition of NOx, Biolux is able to generate higher concentration of ozonated water (>4ppm). We know 0.2~0.3ppm of ozonated water is good for water sanitation, over 1ppm can do surface sanitation, and over 2ppm is capable of doing chemical degradation and sanitation. Therefore, Biolux is the only water generator that is functional effective.
Q5: Can I drink ozonated water?
Ozonated water is good sanitizer. However it also kills good bacteria in your stomach. In order to protect the good bacteria in your digestion system, we do not recommand people drink ozonated water.
Biolux Hydrogen Water
Q1: I have heard of alkaline water, but not hydrogen water. So what exactly is hydrogen water?
Water ionizer was invented in Japan, to help ease heartburn symptoms of people with gastric disorder. People drink alkaline water to neutralize acidity in their stomach. Also, in Japan, most water source is “soft water”, which means lack of mineral. After ionization, calcium and magnesium are gathered together at the cathode end of water, people were able to drink more minerals from water. Water ionizer was then officially registered in Japan as health instruments to treat gastric hyperacidity and also become mineral supplement.
Later on, people started to market the theory of “alkaline water helps balance body acidity”. However, they ignored the fact that too much minerals in water may also add burden to kidneys. People with kidney problem should not drink alkaline water. Also, every healthy body can balance its own pH, is “alkaline” really the key of health improvement? If so, people should be able to benefit from eating baking soda or other “alkaline”, but actually they couldn’t. Why?
On 2007, professor Shigeo Ohta published: “Hydrogen acts as a therapeutic antioxidant by selectively reducing cytotoxic oxygen radicals” on Nature Medicine. Since then, people started to realize it is the byproduct, hydrogen, which also generated at the cathode end of electrode, benefits human health.
Q2: What is the difference between drinking alkaline water and hydrogen water?
Both drinking alkaline water and hydrogen water can intake hydrogen from water. The main difference is the “minerals” in water. Drinking alkaline water is actually drinking water full of metal ions like magnesium, calcium, and sodium, may add burden to your kidneys. Drinking hydrogen water is purely drinking the beneficial element, hydrogen, without giving burden to your body. In addition, hydrogen is just a by-product of alkaline water, the concentration of hydrogen be taken might not be as high as hydrogen water.
Q3: Why is Biolux hydrogen water pH neutral?
Biolux's technology is a directly mix of hydrogen and water. Therefore, the pH is the same as natrual water.
Q4: Can you tell me the key health benefits of drinking hydrogen water?
Hydrogen is found to selectively neutralize some free radicals like peroxynitrite (ONOO-) and hydroxyl radicals (・OH). The key benefit of drinking hydrogen water is, it helps free radical scavenging in your body.
Q5: Since when was it discovered that hydrogen water is the best antioxidant? Are there any proof?

Q6: I read that the water should have >1ppm of hydrogen concentration, in order to truly achieve the elimination of free radicals and antioxidant effect. So what is yours?
Usually our hydrogen concentration is over 1ppm, may go up to 1.2ppm. We need to make sure the temperature of the incoming water cool enough (less than 25°C) to get better dissolving result of hydrogen in water.
Q7: If I replace my everyday drink with hydrogen water, will there be any side effects?
No. There will be no side effects. Hydrogen is the key of anti-oxidation and free radical scavenging. It turns into water after react with hydroxyl radicals (・OH). Also, medically, hydrogen is commonly used to replace nitrogen in oxygen cylinder in preventing divers disease. The amount of hydrogen inhaled through oxygen cylinder is more than we drink from hydrogen water, and it is absolutely harmless. Therefore, drinking hydrogen water 8 glasses a day or totally replace your daily water consumption is absolutely no harm.
Q8: Vitamin C over dose is bad for the body, will I over dose by drinking too much hydrogen water?
The reaction of Vitamin C results in the formation of dehydro-ascorbic acid. Over dose of Vitamin C can cause bone disease, kidney stones or abdominal cramps. This is part of the reason it can not be over-consumed. Hydrogen generates no residuals after radical scavenging, does not add burden to human body.
Q9: Can we use the hydrogen water to wash our rice, produce or fruits. Are there foul smell and will it wash away the nutrients.
Yes. It can be used to wash our produce. There’s no smell on hydrogen water. Instead, some people found the taste of their rice be improved after washed with hydrogen water. Main reason might come from the reduction feature of hydrogen helps reverse the outer layer of oxidized starch back to its original state and make the rice tastier.
Q10: What is the life span (effectiveness) of the hydrogen water after it is being dispensed?
It depends on how you preserve the hydrogen water. If you seal hydrogen water in air-free stainless still bottle, the concentration after 24h is still high (could still be 1.1ppm).
Shaking is the main cause of hydrogen loss, that's why we need to store it at airtight (100% full, no room for air to cause shaking during transportation) condition. In another word, if you shake fresh made hydrogen water vigorously, hydrogen will soon disappear.
If you put it in a mug and let it open to the air in room temperature, the concentration and ORP will gradually drop. It's half-life is around 5hr.
Q11: Can I boil the hydrogen water and still retain its properties?
No, you can’t boil hydrogen water and retain its properties. But if you want to drink hot hydrogen water, it is still be possible. You need to mix hot boiled water with cold hydrogen water to the temperature you want, and you may then enjoy hot hydrogen water. Remember, don’t keep it wait for too long before you drink.
Q12: Can I bottle up the hydrogen water and put it in the fridge and still retain its properties?
Yes. The key is of preserving hydrogen in water is to avoid shaking. So we recommend filling it full and eliminating air gap, and stored in stainless steel bottle.
